Carmen J. Nocera is an associate attorney at Harry S. Cohen and Associates, where he focuses his practice on representing victims of medical malpractice. He has spent his career representing injury victims in personal injury and workers’ compensation matters throughout the Commonwealth and takes great pride in obtaining justice for his clients.
Nocera is a 2015 graduate of Slippery Rock University, where he received a degree in Safety Management and was a member of the university’s baseball team. Before law school, he worked as an environmental health and safety consultant in the construction industry.
He is a 2019 Pitt Law graduate. During law school, Nocera was an accomplished member of the Mock Trial Team and Chair of the Moot Court Board.
Since 2023, he has been voted by his peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star, an honor reserved to the top 2.5% of attorneys in Pennsylvania who are under the age of 40 or who have been practicing for less than 10 years. Nocera was also selected for membership to the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.
Nocera is an active member of the Pittsburgh legal community. He is on the Board of Governors of both the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (WPTLA) and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ). In addition, he coaches mock trial at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
He resides in Pittsburgh and enjoys golfing, cooking, and spending time with his dog, Oliver.
