Pitt Law Students Awarded 2023 Stevens Public Interest Fellowships

The John Paul Sevens Foundation selected four University of Pittsburgh School of Law students to receive the prestigious 2023 fellowship. Named for the late Supreme Court Justice, the fellowship provides grants to enable selected law students to work in unpaid public interest summer law positions.

The selected students will work with governmental agencies or nonprofit organizations this summer:

  • Danielle Pitrone (JD '24)-Allegheny County Office of the Public Defender, Pittsburgh, PA
  • Alea Tiberi (JD '24)-Pennsylvania Innocence Project, Pittsburgh, PA
  • Luke Watkins (JD '25)-Abolitionist Law Center, Pittsburgh, PA
  • Benny Wiener (JD '25)-Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation, Pittsburgh, PA
