Bar Exam Preparation
The bar exam is certainly demanding and difficult, but gathering needed information about bar exams and bar admissions should not be. Unlike many websites that discuss bar exams or bar admissions, this site is regularly updated and it is not commercial. It seeks only to provide information: the information law students want and need to know as they strategize and prepare for the next step after law school--becoming a licensed lawyer.
All information on this site is updated annually during the summer or as information is received. Data comes from reliable sources, including the National Conference of Bar Examiners and the bar exam administrators from the various states.
NOTE: Effective with the February 2015 bar exam, the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE), a part of the bar exam in 49 states, will include a new subject: Federal Civil Procedure.
Bar Preparation Scholarships
May 2014 Graduates download the application here.
All May 2014 graduates of Pitt Law are eligible to apply for a limited number of scholarships covering tuition for a commercial bar preparation course offered by a national test preparation provider. (The Law School is considering the possibility of offering scholarships for December graduates, but any financial assistance for December graduates will be addressed in the fall semester.) These scholarships will be awarded based in part on demonstrated financial need. Students who have already paid a deposit or full tuition to a commercial bar preparation provider are eligible to apply, and the Law School will assist any who are selected for scholarships in seeking refunds from the commercial provider.
Please submit your completed application to Caitlin O’Connell (Room 514 or email@example.com) by no later than Monday, April 14th.
