Biography

Renee Martin-Nagle, is President and CEO of A Ripple Effect PLC, Visiting Scholar at the Environmental Law Institute, a visiting professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a senior editor with OOSKAnews, a global water publication. She is also active with the American Bar Association, having chaired the Forum on Air and Space Law and serving currently as co-chair of the International Environmental Law Committee of the Section of International Law For 21 years she was the chief legal officer of Airbus Americas, retiring in January 2011 as Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Head of Environmental Affairs, Corporate Secretary and a member of the board of directors. Martin-Nagle earned an LL.M. in environmental law from George Washington University in 2010 (with highest honors) and a JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1984. Her LL.M. thesis, "Fossil Aquifers: A Common Heritage of Mankind," received the 2011 Jamie Grodsky Prize for Environmental Scholarship. She speaks frequently on environmental issues in aviation and on global water concerns and has received several awards, including the 2014 Aviation Industry Woman of Excellence Award from the International Aviation Women's Association.
