Pitt Law Alumnus Bruce Beemer ('95) Appointed Inspector General of Pennsylvania

Governor Tom Wolf has appointed Pitt Law alumnus Bruce Bemmer ('95) as inspector general for the Commonwealth of Pennsyvlania. Beemer's appointment began July 25.

In a public statement Gov. Wolf said, "Bruce Beemer has earned a reputation across the commonwealth as a tough prosecutor, effective administrator and thoughtful legal mind."

Beemer previously was Chief Deputy Attorney General at the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. He became known for his testimony in a state grand jury probe against embattled Attorney General Kathleen Kane.
