Associate Dean of Students Kevin Deasy Recognized By Alma Mater As Outstanding Alumnus

 

Pitt Law Professor Kevin Deasy was recently honored by his alma mater, Penn State University. Deasy received the 2016 Outstanding Alumni Award from the Department of Sociology and Criminology. 

Deasy received his Bachelor's in Social Work from Penn State and his JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he is now director of the school's legal writing program for all first-year students.

As Associate Dean of Students, Deasy has become known for his deep individual support and general counseling for students at Pitt Law, including helping students with disabilities achieve success by working with the University of Pittsburgh Office of Disability Resources and Services.
