Pitt Law alum Jason Miller, J.D. (’02) has published his non-fiction book Obamacare: Healthcare Apocalypse with publisher Post Hill Press. Post Hill Press has published authors such as decorated marine and conservative commentator, Oliver North, and former Maryland Governor Robert Ehrlich. Billed as an “Obamacare book like no other” by the publisher, Miller’s book provides an analysis and critique of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act with an emphasis on the healthcare law’s costs, mandates and effects on employers and the middle class.

Miller graduated from Pitt Law in 2002 in the Health Law Certificate Program and is now a health law attorney. He has written articles for several publications such as Modern Healthcare, The Medscape Journal of Medicine, and the widely-read conservative newspaper, The Washington Times. This is Miller’s first single-author book, having previously contributed a chapter to the graduate-level textbook Role Development for Doctoral Advanced Nursing Practice
