After seven years of service to the University’s Office of Institutional Advancement, including four years as the Law School’s Director of Development & Alumni Affairs, Drew Chelosky has accepted the position of Assistant Dean for Development at West Virginia University’s Eberly College of Arts & Sciences.  Drew leaves behind an impactful legacy. As Director, he built a comprehensive alumni relations program and secured the largest gift in the Law School’s history, pushing the school past a major campaign goal in 2013. To fill these shoes, the Office of Institutional Advancement, in conjunction with the Law School, is conducting a rigorous national search for a new Director of Development & Alumni Affairs.

Allison Saras, who served as the Law School’s Director of Constituent Relations for three years, recently accepted a new position in the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering as a Charitable Relationship Manager. Through her efforts at the Law school, Ali enhanced the engagement of the Pitt Law Alumni Association and strengthened the 3L giving program. While we will miss both Drew and Allison, we are pleased to announce new and exciting staff additions to the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs.

Jeffrie Miracle – Director of Constituent Relations

Jeffrie Miracle has joined the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs as its new Director of Constituent Relations.  He has most recently worked as the Manager of Advancement Operations in the Office of Institutional Advancement here at Pitt and has a strong background in advancement operations, donor stewardship and alumni engagement. Jeff earned a M.Ed. in Higher Education Management and a Ph.D. in Administrative and Policy Studies from Pitt’s School of Education.  He will be tasked with strengthening our alumni engagement, donor stewardship, and increasing participation in our Law Fellows giving society.  Jeff will also be assuming some of the responsibilities of the office director until the position is filled.

Cynthia Caldwell – Charitable Relationship Manager – Planned Giving

Cynthia Caldwell, a native of Pittsburgh’s South Hills, graduated from Pitt Law in 2011.  She practiced law at a small, general practice law firm immediately following graduation and is now working as a Charitable Relationship Manager in the Planned Giving department, with a focus on law alumni.  Cynthia graduated from Dickinson College in 2008 with a major in European History.  She looks forward to meeting alumni as she travels and attends events throughout the country.

Kate Pazdan – Administrative Coordinator

Kate Pazdan has served as our Administrative Coordinator since September 2012. Kate graduated from James Madison University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Health Assessment and Promotion and is a recent Pittsburgh transplant. Kate serves as the point of contact person for the office, fielding general inquiry emails and phone calls, and she administers the Law School’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs.

Christina Daub – Development Associate

Christina Daub joined the office in February 2012 as Development Associate. Prior to that, she served as the Law School’s event coordinator and has been employed at the University of Pittsburgh in various capacities for the past seven years. Christina graduated from Pitt in 2009, receiving a bachelor’s in Humanities with a concentration in Studio Arts.  She manages the communications and outreach strategies for the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs and coordinates the logistics of all alumni events.

We look forward to growing as a team and fostering new strengths in this transition. As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns at 412-648-1305 or
