1L Mandatory Legal Research Training: an Introduction to BloombergLaw, LexisNexis and Westlaw

As a part of Pitt Law’s 1L legal research & writing curriculum the Barco Law Library arranges mandatory trainings in the Bloomberg Law, LexisNexis and Westlaw databases. These databases are  important tools that practicing attorneys rely on for doing legal research, and it takes time and training to be able to use them skillfully.   You should have received Bloomberg Law, LexisNexis and Westlaw passwords at your Orientation. Please be sure to register your passwords before the trainings begin so that you are prepared.  All trainings are held in the computer lab on the 4th floor of the Barco Law Library.  You can, if you like, use your laptops but there are 30 computers in the lab that will be reserved for your trainings. Trainings will last about 45 minutes.
