Publish Date/Time:

Professor John Burkoff discussed two pivotal cases to be heard by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on juvenile life without parole sentences.  The United States Supreme Court declared mandatory life without parole sentences for juveniles unconstitutional this year, and it is now up to the state Supreme Court to apply that decision to cases here in Pennsylvania.  According to Professor Burkoff, “The state Supreme Court now has an opportunity to look at what Pennsylvania does and set the framework for all cases in the future.”
