David Harris on the Strength of the Arizona Racial Profiling Case Against "Sheriff Joe"

Publish Date/Time:
August 6, 2012

David Harris told the Arizona Republic that the strength of the statistical evidence in the racial profiling case against "Sheriff Joe" Arpaio will be one of the keys to whether or not the plaintiffs succeed.  But other evidence will be important as well, especially proof that shows the statements and actions of the Sheriff and his deputies that seem to back up the stories told by the statistics. According to Professor Harris, the statistics are "bolstered by a lot of the other evidence that the plaintiffs put in: Actions and so forth by the sheriff and the people who work for him, and the stories of the people who say this happened to them."
