Charles Jalloh Presents and Debates at Loyola Chicago

Publish Date/Time:
April 30, 2013

On April 24, 2013, Assistant Professor Charles C. Jalloh participated in two events at Loyola Chicago Law School. First, he debated with Professor Jide Nzelibe of Northwestern University Law School on the question “Should the International Criminal Court Try President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya?” Jalloh argued that despite the recent Kenyan elections, in which Kenyatta – who is charged with crimes against humanity – was elected president, the ICC’s trial should continue. Later the same day, Jalloh presented a paper on the personal jurisdiction of international criminal courts.  The events were organized and moderated by Wing Tat Lee Chair of International Law, Professor James Gathii.
