John Burkoff on Gag Order in Case Against Former Penn State Coach Jerry Sandusky

Professor John Burkoff explained the use of gag orders by judges in high-profile criminal cases.  In the case against former Penn State Coach Jerry Sandusky, prosecution and defense attorneys issued dueling statements to the press after a recent status conference, and the judge responded with the gag order.  According to Professor Burkoff, "the attorneys acted pretty much like kids scuffling in the playground at recess.  The judge had now told them in no uncertain terms that recess is over and they have to behave."
