Dean Mary Crossley and Professor John Burkoff discussed the Pitt Law Academy in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.  The Academy puts on ten programs a year for first-year law students, at which members of the local bar and Pitt Law alumni discuss the realities of law practice and the lawyer's life after law school.  According to Alyssa Buonagura , a Pitt Law first-year student, the Pitt Law Academy is unique in legal education.  "I have friends at other law schools, and they haven't done anything like this."
