Gismondi Civil Litigation Certificate Program

Publish Date/Time:
February 7, 2014

The Gismondi Civil Litigation Certificate will offer the opportunity to students enrolled in the certificate to satisfy the Court Observation requirement on Friday, March 7th. If you attended a court observation last year, you need not attend again this year. It is possible that this will be the last observation offered this year. So if you are a 3L, this is your last chance to satisfy this requirement.

Our partner in this program is the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County – we owe them a debt of gratitude for the time and energy that they have committed in planning a day that will be informative and useful to you. Experienced trial attorneys have volunteered to be your guides though the civil court system. Registration is first come, first served and spaces are limited. Second year certificate students as well as third year certificate students may register for this opportunity. 3LS are given priority.

The observation takes place downtown in the Court of Common Pleas Civil Division from 8:30 a.m. until mid-afternoon. Professional dress is required.

If you are interested in attending the March event, please sign up in the clinic offices by 4 p.m. on  Friday, February 21st.
