Ron Brand on Possible Disruption of Pitt Law Team Trip to Bahrain for Moot Court

Professor Ron Brand comments on the possibility that a long-planned trip to Bahrain by four Pitt Law students to a moot competition may be postponed because of unrest in the country.  Professor Brand, who would lead the group of students, says that participating in the first-of-its-kind competition would be a tremendous experience for the students, but the risks involved in traveling to Bahrain might force a cancellation of the trip.  "Nobody had ever done this before, gotten six schools in the Middle East -- all Arab schools --together to do this kind of arbitration or moot court activity...it creates good relationships with their schools. It does positive things. But we don't want to do it at the risk of people getting hurt." Link
