Additional Scholarships to be Offered at Pitt Law

Publish Date/Time:

This year, the University of Pittsburgh School of Law will be providing substantial tuition scholarships for three years of study to the most highly qualified in-state and out-of-state JD applicants.  This program is the first of its kind at Pitt Law. While Pitt Law is already one of the more affordable law schools, we continue to work to ensure that our program remains accessible to all students of the highest caliber.  The Office of Admission and Financial Aid will reach out to qualified applicants who have demonstrated their ability to be academically successful and the potential to be productive members of the legal community in the future and we invite applications from qualified students who have not yet applied.

Dean William M. Carter, Jr. believes that this initiative is consistent with Pitt Law’s mission.  "Pitt Law has a proud legacy of preparing students to become excellent attorneys and leaders in both the legal profession and in society.  With this initiative, Pitt Law will redouble our already strong commitment to providing a high quality legal education at a reasonable price."

Applicants who wish to be considered for these scholarships will need to complete their admission applications no later than February 15, 2014.  These scholarships will be available for all three years of law school, provided that the student maintains a 3.0 GPA or higher in their legal studies.  Apply today.
