Harry Gruener on Rights of Gay Parents in Custody Cases

Professor Harry Gruener was quoted in the Thursday, February 25 front page article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in an article concerning an important recent Superior Court case involving the issue of equal rights of a gay parent in custody cases. The court expressly overruled prior appellate case law that applied an evidentiary presumption in child custody cases against a homosexual parent and placing on that parent the burden of proving that exposure to the homosexual relationship would have no adverse effect on the children.
