Jennifer Satler

Adjunct Mock Trial Coach

Jennifer Satler graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1997 with a degree in Psychology and a concentration in Neural and Behavioral Sciences. She earned her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2000. While at Pitt Law, Ms. Satler competed twice in the Murray S. Love Trial Moot Court Competition, finishing as a semi-finalist as a second-year student and in first place as a third-year student. She also served on Pitt Law’s winning team in the Wallace S. Gourley Trial Moot Court Competition. Since 1999 Ms. Satler has coached the University of Pittsburgh undergraduate mock trial team. The team is currently ranked 17th out of approximately 500 competing teams nationally.

In 2008, Ms. Satler began her service as adjunct mock trial coach at Pitt Law. In that capacity, she oversees the school’s mock trial program, selecting and coaching the various teams that Pitt Law sends to interscholastic mock trial competitions. She maintains a private criminal defense practice in Allegheny County, having previously worked at the Allegheny County Office of the Public Defender in the Adult Trial Division.
