Douglas Branson on Corporate Governance

On September 20, Professor Branson spoke at the University of Toledo School of Law as part of their Distinguished Lecture Series.  His spoke on his new book, NO SEAT AT THE TABLE – HOW CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND LAW KEEP WOMEN OUT OF THE BORADROOM (NYU Press 2007). On October 19, 2007, Professor Branson keynoted a forum sponsored by the Corporations, Law & Society Center at the Seattle University School of Law.  He spoke on his book, NO SEAT AT THE TABLE, followed by a panel discussion in which Professor Branson and 3 leading women corporate directors in the Pacific Northwest (Evelyn Stroufe, Judith Runstad, and Anne Mullee) participated. On November 8-9, Professor Branson attended the Asian Corporate Governance Association (ACGA) annual meeting at the Conrad Hotel in Tokyo, Japan.  Earlier he spoke at a seminar sponsored by the White & Case law firm’s Tokyo office.  He spoke on “Ownership Patterns Around the World and Their Relationship to Corporate Governance.”
