Hail To…An Attitude of Gratitude

Hail To…An Attitude of Gratitude Day, a new celebration of those who support Pitt Law with their giving, took place on February 21, 2013.  Hundreds of Pitt Law students, faculty, and staff wrote thank you notes to express their gratitude to donors.

Did you know?

Tuition dollars only cover a portion of Pitt Law’s budget.  It's the support of donors that helps bridge the gap.

14% of Pitt Law’s annual operating budget comes from donor support.

$300,000 in donor scholarship funding is awarded to Pitt Law students each year.

800+ students have benefited from working in the clinics, which would not be possible without the support of our donors.

6 of the lectures held each year and the Pitt Law Academy are made possible by the generous gifts of our donors.

4 faculty hold chairs funded by donor support, allowing the Law School to provide a top notch education lead by prestigious faculty.

A few notes of thanks from our students:

“Thank you for being a donor!  I can speak for myself and my fellow students, when I say that your gift is greatly appreciated.  Through your generosity, an exceptional education has become a real possibility for many students”.  ~ Zachoriah R., Law ‘15

“A huge thank you!  Your willingness to give back has made all the difference financially to me and my young family.  It’s the generosity of you and your fellow alums that continue to inspire me to follow your example.”  ~ Julie P., Law ‘13

“Your donations make a huge difference and provide opportunities I never thought or imagined.  Thank you so much for all that you do!  Hail to Pitt and Hail to donors like you”.  ~ Alexandria D., Law ‘15
