We are excited you are interested in applying to the University of Pittsburgh School of Law's JD Program. Our application is available online with the assistance of the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC). Application Process

To begin your application to Pitt Law's JD program, you will need to create an account and log into the LSAC portal. The application fee is $65. All fees and deposits are non-refundable. For further information about the JD admissions process, click here

Application Status

The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid will notify applicants by e-mail when their application has been received.  We encourage you to check the status of your application by referring to the Applicant Online Status Page, as all decisions will be posted here.  Pitt Law operates on rolling admissions and a decision can take several weeks.  We ask for your patience during the admission cycle as it can be even longer during key times of the year.  As always, contact us with any questions. 

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for admission to Pitt Law's JD program, you must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or expect to graduate during the current academic year. Students from the University of Pittsburgh Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, University of Pittsburgh College of Business Administration, The Commonwealth University, Carlow University, Robert Morris University, and Washington and Jefferson College may be eligible to apply through our Accelerated Law Admissions Program (ALAP). ​
