The three competitions listed below are stand-alone intramural competitions, but they double as tryouts for a position on an external team because the winners generally qualify to represent the law school at an interscholastic competition.
- Appellate Competition >
- Murray S. Love Trial Moot Court Competition >
- Client Counseling Competition >
The law school also runs the Negotiations Competition in the spring semester. The Negotiations Competition, administered by the Moot Court Board, has no academic prerequisites, and it is the only competiton in which first-year students are allowed to participate. Students compete in teams of two, crafting a negotiation strategy in response to the competition problem. Each round is a meeeting between opposing teams held in front of competition judges.
