Grading Details

The final grade will be based upon a midterm examination (25%) and a final examination (75%). If a student's score on the midterm examination is lower than their score on the final examination, the midterm score will not be counted in the final grade. Thus, while the midterm examination can help a student's overall grade it cannot hurt it.

Description

This course is an introductory course on the rules of evidence and will focus on the Federal Rules of Evidence. We will cover hearsay and its exceptions, relevance, the use of character evidence, cross-examination and impeachment, among other subjects.
